About Me...

Well, hey there!! I'm Suzi Pignataro, owner of Golden Mermaid Tanning. My love for tanning started back in June of 1989, right before I went to my first prom. I had a super cute red sequin dress, but I was oh-so-pale...NOT cute. My Mom agreed to let me go to a tanning salon, and I was HOOKED! I continued to use tanning beds regularly, for the next 28 years, even though I knew it wasn't the *healthiest* practice.

Right before my wedding in June 2018, I made an appointment for a spray tan at a local salon. I needed to cover up some bathing suit strap marks, and thought a spray tan would be my best bet for a quick fix. I have to say, I loved the process and the outcome on my big day. AND it wasn't potentially dangerous, like bed tanning. I converted!!

I decided to become a certified spray tan artist through Aviva Labs, attended training sessions in NYC, purchased all my equipment, and opened this business. Whew, what an adventure! I love being able to give my clients the gorgeous golden tans they desire, To know that a bride feels and looks her absolute best on her wedding day, partly because of me, brings a huge smile to my face. And knowing I'm providing a HEALTHY alternative to UV tanning is the icing on the cake.
